Facebook has been the rage personally for some time, but the question arises, ‘how do I use it for my business’, or ‘should I use it for my business?
Eileen Zimmerman, writing in NYTimes.com thinks you should, but she missed one key ingredient: if you build it on Facebook, will your customers come? By that we mean, is a presence on Facebook something that will influence your customers to buy? (Even if you go into the Small Business section, which is b2b oriented, will it influence your customers?)
It boils down to ‘what do my customers think?’ Have any of them found out about me through Facebook?’ How many? How much is it going to cost?
If you don’t have any or many customers yet to sample, can you make an educated guess based on their demongraphics?
Anyway, here’s Eileen’s link: http://nytimes.com/2012/07/26/business/smallbusiness/small-businesses-win-customers-on-facebook
