Don’t forget he’s in his final year, come January 1st he can sign a pre contract agreement with another club and move on June 1st for free. We’re not in a strong bargaining position, personally I think push it up to 4m and let him go. A club the size of Norwich can not afford to let a 4 million pound asset dwindle away to nothing inside six months. It’s also possible he’ll end up resenting the club for not letting him go and play premier league football, and we get a poor season in the championship out of him.
