His central point is that intensity can&#8217;t be too high or low.<\/p>\n<p>It seems Art is saying that leaders should use something like situational leadership: there are times to firm, times to listen more, and so forth.\u00a0There are no times to yell and scream at your direct reports, though.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s a fine line, leadership. Too firm and people think you&#8217;re authoritarian. Listen too much with no comment or clear direction, and your troops will think you&#8217;re to passive.<\/p>\n<p>And, where does passion fit in?
